Gave this small 15 min session at Barcamp Bangalore 6. Had a great discussion after that with the junta. There is so much to learn from the folks around! phew!!

Hey Buddy,
I was at your talk. It was really awesome, great info for people starting on their own.
Thanks Deepan! Starters usually neglect their logos / brand or rather don’t get take out enough time for it. According to me it is also one of the important things to keep in mind.
Nice session!!
Just found your blog while going through the bcb mailing list…
missed out on this one but shall definitely be there in da next bcb…
do u attend da bcm’s?
Hey Mitesh,
We can surely catch up during bcb7
Never been to bcm’s but I heard it was very active. Keep me posted.
Honestly you need to go much beyond before you call yourself a logo designer. Though your favourite logos are all popular and a class apart, the ones you had designed are quite unprofessional.
My personal suggestion is that you need to study better on the colors to be used on a logo (not all are viewed on just a computer monitor). Moreover, simplicity is the key. A brand developers first challenge is to express the idea, not impress the client.
Hoping to see much improved works from you
Hey Ramesh!
Thanks so much for those pointers. I do admit I’am not a pro.
Will surely scale up to meet minimum benchmarks. Please let me know if you can help learn a few things?
May be few URL’s of use?
Really appreciate your honest view. Please mail me your email id.
Cheers.
Hey Aashish,
I got this link from OCC mailing list … and when i opened it today, I dont see the presentation there … it just says “The slideshow has either been removed or made private by owner” …
i was just interested to view this … but seems like its not available now ..
if possible for you .. can you plz share it with me through e-mail? (in case if u r not planning to put it up here again…)

Ok … i just checked it now again .. and its available now…
Thanx !!
Hey hie Aashish ,
Hope you are doing good.
I had a word with you , remember ( management student )
I was at your LOGO DESIGN session at BcD5 & believe me it was far above my expectation
I could have complimented you that day itself , but you seemed occupied by many inquisitive geeks .
I liked some of your designs.
I wish NET Bramha a great year ahead !!
Regards
Aarti
Aashish,
I totally agree with Ramesh…you really have a long way to go. But you talk like you have it all. I want you to know that humility is really important for a designer. You are still so young in the design field. Now is all about getting the experience, not blowing your horn.
I too felt that your designs look unfinished, particularly in terms of the branding. They lack that professional tweaking. I’ll let you in on another secret – No professional will use slang in presentations…like “fav’s”. And please, no unnecessary exclamatory marks. Why should “My Designs!” have an exclamatory mark in the end? Clearly, I don’t see any professionalism in today’s youth!
Anyway, I’d like to wish you the best of luck in becoming a better Designer.
@ butterfly – completely with you on it misses the finish.
On the other note I’m an excited creature so you may find some of the things overdone. (Eg: Exclamations etc). This was a pretty old ppt. Do see some of my work at http://netbramha.com
Thanks for stopping by. Appreciate it. Learning & Perfection is never ending. Will keep up the pace
